Cassidy on Budden vs Hollow: "I Wouldn't Do It"

http://www.vladtv.com -Cassidy chopped it up with Battle Rap Journalist Michael Hughes in this clip from his exclusive interview with VladTV.

The Philly emcee weighed in on the pending battle between Slaughterhouse’s Joe Budden vs one of Battle Rap’s finest, Hollow Da Don, and the possible promotion that the battle can bring for the culture of Hip-Hop and their careers as well. While Cassidy believes that it is a good thing for Hip-Hop, he admitted that he “wouldn’t do it,” because he doesn’t think a move like that would make sense for his career.

Coming from battling, Cassidy believes that it would be a step back for him to jump back into the ring with a career battler. He also feels that it is a handicap match of sorts, considering that Joe Budden’s life has taken place before the public, while there is far less material to address regarding Hollow’s life, or any other potential opponent.

Cassidy also revealed that Shady Records contacted him about being a part of their Total Slaughter series, but he declined because it “didn’t make sense.”

While he is confident in his abilities to defeat anyone in the ring, it is unlikely that fans will see Cassidy return to Battle Rap any time soon. Do you think that battling again would “make sense” for Cassidy’s career?
